| This pub has just been taken over by a new landlady in april 2011 lovely family run pub 3 different types of a ale that are Regularly Changed to give you different Variety's. ice cold beer also has saloon bar with sofas and nice open fire for them winter nights has pool table and darts board in the public bar and jukebox. Nice friendly staff and very nice large pub garden for them lovely summer days and nights holds BBQ'S in the summer months also has nice big car park at the front of pub all in all lovely family run pub and Reasonably Priced . caraw276 - 6 Apr 2011 11:57 |
| I don't really know how to rate this pub...it's just a pub, no more no less... There's probably far too many loud shouty blokes in football shirts, but they had three decent ales on which were kept well. There was a good pool table, but annoying juke box. | New landlord moved in 18 months ago and has livened up the place. It's warm and friendly, and has four ever changing cask ales with at least one under 4% for session drinking, but the others may go up to 6%. The beer was in perfect condition, served at the ideal temperature. As the pub is near the local recreation ground, the amateur football players will drop in for a drink after a match, with food laid on for them. Creates a great atmosphere. There are two rooms, both are wood panelled. The saloon room has comfy sofas, while the public has darts board and a pool table. Great place. SilkTork - 28 Feb 2009 20:22 |
| A prominent corner location pub which tends to look more interesting than it is. To be fair it's a decent, large, friendly local with lots of activities for the regulars.
