No air-con, overpriced drinks, a floor with 'divots' and a rude bar manager who would not let us open the doors despite it being so hot inside that sweat was running down the windows. Truly awful choice for an event venue in (even a bad British) summer. kilinrax - 5 Sep 2012 14:35 |
Food is the best feature here though they do also offer a couple of bitters and guinness. Is pricey but no more so than other bars close by. Probably prefer to eat lunch here then have an evening drink here. MrSkinner - 14 Aug 2009 16:08 |
Two bitters on offer at standard City prices. I didn't take to the interior; seemed too clinical and very noisy for a place that was only a quarter-full when I visited. Don't think I'd come here again as there are better places close by. pubcollector - 8 May 2009 21:55 |
Loud, busy City bar. Served a reasonable pint of Adnams Broadside (once one got served, that is). rpadam - 15 Aug 2008 20:58 |
Decent enough if you've just finished work and need a beer. The food at lunchtime is great, service at lunchtime great, in the evening decent enough but can take ages to get served. The manager is a bit moody but the staff seem alright. Claudia - 30 Mar 2006 23:17 |
