| A great place to eat or just pop in for a beer. Totally chilled environment and all the staff are so friendly along with the locals. As for Sunday lunch - Fantastic. How many places have you been for Sunday lunch where they ask you how you would like your beef cooked? And it comes just how you requested, on a seperate platter! | Thing is, it's not really an attempt at sophistication and never has been. The proprietor knows a bit about wine and apparently has some decent stuff in the cellar, but on the whole it has reasonably well-kept beer with regular and changing local ale and cider. Sticky carpet and low ceiling, but good atmosphere. There's some outside seating in the next-door mews for when the weather is good. Great food when Richard's cooking, and in abundance.
