user reviews of the Highland Inn, Little Woodhouse

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Highland Laddie little woodhouse was my Grandmothers favourite stop off when coming home from the mill in 1927.She always had two halves of mild and said it was very good beer and kept her going at work the next day.She lived in Rutland Terrace which was the street running up the back of the pub. When I worked in Kirkstall Road I used to visit this pub sometimes and I was told by the then landlord that the stool at the end of the bar was where my Gran used to sit.Her name was Elizabeth Jackson. I am so glad the highland is open again and will be paying a visit to give it the once over

The Highland has re-opened!
Great little traditional pub has opened its doors again after a full refurbishment. Always had one of the best pints of Tetley's in Leeds and it still lives up to its reputation.

Another pub thats bit the dust, i have heard its going to be turned into offices, a very good old pub its original name was the highland laddie, the last remaining building from the alphabet streets, another sad day for historic pubs.

Little gem tucked between Burley Road and Kirkstall Road. Now longer sells Tetley's Dark Mild, but the bitter and one guest ale are still available. Still doing a roaring trade despite its location.

Great little pub. Beer not at all bad. Privately owned. Loads of film memorabilia on walls. Nice staff soon to have a menu I believe.
