Sadly when I started bringing my mum here for lunch, and visiting myself, the staff and food was great. Recently in the past 3 months or so, the staff changed, and are rude, and not at all helpful or interested in the customer. More and more of my friends whom I recommended this pub to are making the same complaint ... Dudes SORT IT OUT! .... You owe your LOYAL Customers something good back. At present ... its a don't waste your time because the staff are not interested in swift and courteous service other on the few days that some of the older staff are there ... They started a "10 tokens for a free meal" thing which meant that my solo meals there meant I got back something ... that has been stopped, and so another minus for this place, which was 1. Convenient and 2. Used to serve good food in a timeous manner. Myste - 15 Sep 2012 19:25 |
Nice looking pub inside and out but had bad luck with service and food Pats of butter with the prawn cocktail (which was somewhat lacklustre) tasted cheesy and the Gormet Burger was inedible, filled as it was, with rancid-tasting meat. The following morning I got confirmation (which I wont go into!) that I had eaten at least one item that my stomach wasnt too pleased about. Fair dues though, they did cross the burger off my bill which is different to one pub that served up a 'lamb curry ' which turned out to be a plate of grisle. They would only provide me with a replacement meal but no crossing off the bill. edunit - 21 Oct 2010 14:10 |
Somewhat surprised there's only one earlier review. Visited early afternoon on a Saturday, attentive service and a good mix of customers. Didn't see the food, but overheard good comments by people leaving the dining area. TiaMariaJim - 16 May 2010 10:55 |
This is a fantastic pub. Family friendly, great food - the sunday roasts are definitely worth the trip. The beer is always well kept and the bar staff very friendly. anonymous - 1 Feb 2007 15:39 |
