Greene King pub with 2 rooms. The main bar has a large-open fire, which was roaring away on my visit yesterday afternoon, giving the pub a cosy feel. The ale range is from the Greene King range - IPA, Abbott, Cornish Coast (a collaborative effort), Morland Old Speckled Hen & Belhaven Grand Slam. There is a small car park at the side. blue_scrumpy - 22 Feb 2015 09:06 |
It is quite a nice friendly pub, but landlady has a very miserable and rude attitude. must be time 4 her to retire . She spoiled the whole day for us and family. she seems to hate everyone wots wrong with her. dont need that sort of welcome more than once. wont be back. bedsbeerdrinker must be right about the smile, if u get one it feels false and a bit slimey sandypubsok2 - 22 Aug 2009 18:23 |

I have just been to the beer festival and sausage bash at the Queens Head. Well, what a wonderful afternoon. A jazz band (made up of proffesional musicians that play in current West End musicals) they were incredible...played in the garden. It was the most amazing afternoon. I hope they do it again. please do it again, Lovely big garden, the kids loved it. Just what Sandy needed,..Thanks very much, will come again jake2323 - 24 May 2009 19:38 |
Had a great time here. Lovely food. Locals were chatty and made us feel very welcome. Met the landlady and the staff, they were were very welcoming. I hear the landlady has been ill for some time, so surley and miserable are rather unpleasant coments to put. Its a hard job running a pub, she tried really hard. The best pub in the town by far. Real old worldy place, lots of character. jake2323 - 29 Sep 2007 19:49 |
