2 nice-looking pubs in the village of Marsh Gibbon. But neither were open during the Easter weekend. I'm amazed that these pubs have not closed completely. Will hopefully visit again some time in the future. But this was the 4th pub in a row I'd found closed and it was time to give up and head home. 0/10. blue_scrumpy - 8 Apr 2015 20:48 |
Tried to go here for a friday lunchtime drink - but they were shut! So all the custom went round the corner to the Greyhound, which was nice but a bit cold trowe - 2 Nov 2012 14:37 |
Friendly, Family Pub. Called before our visit to check they were family friendly and was advised yes, everyone welcome, large garden including play area and good childrens menu. We weren't disappointed, lovely welcome by the land lady and the landlord (who is also the chef) cooked up some lovely traditional pub grub. The setting is a little shabby chic but a great little british pub! Will definately be back! Lily_lu - 8 May 2011 21:09 |
A very friendly and welcoming pub offering both really nice Oxfordshire Brewery ales and very nice coffee (well, that's I was drinking on my last visit). The landlord and lady work really hard to create the right atmosphere and I think they're succeeding! sloe_jane - 20 Jun 2009 15:21 |
Local outlet to the nearby Oxfordshire Ales brewery but the last two times I was there they only had Greene King IPA which I'm told the locals like - shame, support your local brewer. Friendly couple behind the sports bar (i.e. TV and pool table) with usual bar flies in attendance. There is a seperate room for eating. Nice pub, beer range a bit 'confined' and erratic - blame the locals! Booze_Allen - 22 Oct 2008 20:07 |
