| Smashing beer - the Adnams was spot on! They have comprehensive bar menu with a fair vegetarian selection - although perhaps they have a somewhat eccentric interpretation of vegetarian cusine (eg vegetable curry was made with sauce, the same veg as you'd have if you'd ordered the roast and garnished with lettice and kiwifruit slices). | This pub has got so much better now it is smoke free. Food is still great. Big menu. Friendly staff. Locals are friendly as well. More of a boozer than an eating pub. Garden still needs work. Prices are still great. snert - 22 Jul 2007 10:56 |
| Friendly staff, good beer and good prices. Does a good range of food. The food is pub grub rather than restaurant cuisine. A bit smokey but alright. Definitely a locals pub but as a new comer you won't feel like you're being stared at. Has a pool table and juke box. Nibbles provided free on the bar. Generally a nice place to go.
