What a turn around the wheatsheaf has had, that place has been a burden for so long but now the new landlord has taken control he seems to know what to do with the place. They offer bt and sky sports, free wifi, a clean environment. Strongbow dark fruits on tap and san mageil and the spirits and fridges stocked up, also a meat raffle on a sunday it seems to me that the wheatsheaf is the place to be as when i went in there it was busy with a decent crowd! Staff are happy and polite and the pub is cleaner than usual. I would give it a 7/10 and i would definatly go back Thechief82 - 7 Sep 2014 11:08 |
If you want to see a great pup go down hill then try the wheatsheaf .. They never have beer and the staff are rude and the new owner looks like she's chewing a wasp .. It's no longer runs on normal pub hours .. The beer when they have it's awful if you look at the floors you can wonder what the pipes are like .. It's basically a drug den with out any class .. I personally can't wait for it to close down as it's on the road to it and green king should sort it out before the police close it Nope1980 - 13 May 2014 12:44 |
I was nearly put off by the Greene King sign but fortunately they have a Hook Norton guest beer (which is kind of ironic since it's the local brewery). It's popular with ageing hippie types but it takes one to know one! 16jamesdoc - 27 Jul 2011 22:26 |
