| Not geared for drinkers - where the poor service as I sat at the bar and watched the bar staff become waitresses and waiters was something I have not encountered before. Eventually (T+15 Minutes), when someone was manning the bar, I actually had to ask for a drink! And the drink was a decent Loose Cannon Christmas Ale. Not heard of it before, but it was well kept and tasty. Shame I was made to feel like a 2nd class citizen that could be served, provided I asked nicely and didn't upset the diners. | Just moved to the area. Very fussy with my Pubs having worked in the industry for many years. I heard that the place had a refurb and was now quite nice. I must say that it did not disappoint. The beer was good and the wine choice for a place of this size well thought out. The menu and food was varied and delicious. Whilst it was quiet when my partner and I arrived it soon picked up and the atmosphere was buzzing. Good to see owners who put a lot of care and effort into the place. Damo13666 - 8 Oct 2012 10:52 |

| Lovely country pub. Recently stayed the night while on business at the near by business park. Fantastic selection of real ales and a warm and cosy atmophere. I did not try the food in the evening but the morning breakfast was outstanding. Don't know how it compares with other local pubs but it would be one of the best I imagine.
