| I work In Tonik and registered for this site purely so I could defend one of the best bars in Aberdeen. Whatever anyone says, It is THE bar to go to on a Saturday before a club no matter who you are! Tonik has never been a gay bar or a strait bar, Tonik has one of the most diverse selection of customers Ive seen which is a perfect balance. Anyone who rants about homosexuality like that clearly has major self confidence problems. For those who rant about arrogant bartenders, None of them are arrogant! They just obviously come across like that sometimes because they have to deal with the likes of the negative ppl on this site being rude to them! For those who look down at bar tenders, theryre either saving up to go travelling, students at uni, or they manage the place so I don�t tolerate anyone speaking down to bartenders. And in general bars have nice looking staff because no one wants to be served be someone that looks like they�ve been dragged out of bed. Oh and we don�t sell pints of Bud, thats probably why they tasted a bit different! On a positive note, Tonik is a great bar to go to for a drink after work or uni, for an office night out, for a hen party, for a pub crawl, or just for a pint ! Tonik has some of the best cocktails in Aberdeen and the guys flaring is awesome! The bar staff have good banter and its a great atmosphere. So incase anyone has actually taken the previous negative comments seriously, I hope Iv proved them all to be fools who don�t know a great bar when they see one. | Stay well clear of this "Bar". Everything about this place reeks of homosexuality. If the name doesnt suggest then go have a peek for yourself. Terrible atmosphere and you likely to be sneered at should you not be suitably dressed. The whole place reeks of gay. The bouncers are bent, the bar staff are bent and the drink selection is of course bent. | bar staff think there something when they are actually the ones working in a bar!! avoid this place if u are straight as it is has more pink t-shirts than a gay parade. horrible place to visit and should be bulldozed down and turned into a strippers. hackett06 - 18 Apr 2006 10:23 |
