As the only bearable Weatherpoons in Nottingham city centre it's almost inevitable that it's visited every once in a while. Nice and spacious, service can be very slow indeed. There's a good smoking area upstairs. The usual depressing alcoholics frequent it during the day. Of an evening the bouncers can be pretty gittish. MX7 - 24 Jul 2010 17:10 |
Very friendly staff, a credit to JDW. Good quality ale. Well worth a visit. xh558 - 18 Mar 2008 16:59 |
The Roebuck is tucked away down St James Street just a short walk away from the Bell. It's a handy pub to go to on a Friday/Saturday as the beer is cheap and the place so massive that you stand a good chance of getting a seat. Not much atmosphere, because of it's size, but a nice enough pub in the Wetherspoons style. The best thing about the place is the beer; they do excellent local beer from the "Nottingham Brewery", if they have 'EPA' then I would recommend several of those! dyyony - 15 Feb 2008 16:56 |
