Closed for over a year and Enterprise Inns have submitted an outline planning application to Selby District Council to demolish it and build seven new houses on the site. paul_d102 - 29 Jan 2014 11:59 |
Food ok - beer ok - a couple of real ales usually available. Obviously being run on a tight budget as bar staff double as waiters, great when you've just arrived, gagging for a pint and the poor lad is down in the kitchen carrying back four plates of food and assorted sauces and condiments. Still, I suppose one should be grateful it's still operating. coverpoint - 27 Apr 2010 11:38 |
Called in with wifey on a wednesday night, we were the only people in the place. The two ales on were Hookey Bitter and Black Sheep. Tried the Hookey Bitter which was OK. Bare stone walls, Quiz machine (lost 1), 2 belts on the wall (or it could have been something belonging to a horse or a very fat man). Meals written on blackboards (impressive). The carpet was reminiscent of a turn of the century wenlock. On the whole OK nothing incredible, gets a six. anonymous - 15 Jul 2009 20:37 |
