The friendly barmaid couldn't believe this was my first trip to Cornwall when I paid a visit on Tuesday with a schoolfriend + dogs! Tucked into a couple of lovely pints of Legend and we both ordered food which was excellent. Cawsand is a typical Cornish coastal village and is charming and so was the Cross Keys. I will return! roobs52 - 9 Feb 2018 16:52 |
Nice enough place and was handy for a quick one before we caught the ferry back to Plymouth. My pint of Legend was good (it always is!). 7/10 montie49 - 22 Sep 2016 18:53 |
Tis said that a Mr BA robinson may have told the very volatile youthe to not do the usual, but did we make a comment when a young Mr Robinsons picture was proudly displayed upon a 1950s sideboard table in the cult movie of the early 1980s Quadrophenia!!!! or did he have anything to say when one of the younge Cannon boys did in fact try out the old creaky wooden rocking chair that lay dormant in the corner of the olde cottage nesstled amongst the tiny streets of said cawsands.... And was the big nosed always smiling cobbler aware that Hannah who resembles Ms Kate Bush but with a big nose, also tried out the old wooden creaky rocking chair... eh... eh.... I think not sir.... Where are they all now then.... eh... eh...Mark Swanky....Bit "O" Lemon Stoneh.... what bit.... I will show you what bit....Just like Martin... never can shut it..... bigfatget - 16 Jul 2014 09:22 |
me and my companion took shelter here..after eating salted bread we were ready to sample the local ales,,Upon our arrival we heard the last line of a joke being told by a shaven headed man united player which went ..."remember the allamooow, nyah nyah nyaaahh!' so my companion and i sat in our snug chatting about old times, whilst a local wench danced frivolously singing..'out on a wiley, windy moors,we'd roll and fall in green. you had a temper like my jealousy ,too hot too greedy..."..and then i am ashamed to say I'm think my friend may have used some gutter language as a B.A.Robinson pointed out that there was no need to swear.. 'Are you boyz zailors?!"came from across the room.. "no sir ..we are merely on a quest to Rame via perenporth to find the truth of the poisoning aboard his majesties vessel.." "drink on...drink on..."came the reply i watched my friends brow furrow and caught the words "super glue"utter from under his breath.... nosferatiattu - 13 Jul 2014 15:39 |
