Haven't been here for 4 years. And for good reason. Place was going downhill for a while, but one Saturday afternoon I went in and the Footy was on. A group of lads were snorting cocaine off the table in front of the pull down screen that was showing the Football, so everyone could see it. Nobody batted an eye and the landlord simply didn't care. I left to walk down into Dawley and had a decent night elsewhere. Later that night there was a riot, tons of cops, blood, glass, knives. I spoke to an officer as the road had been blocked but I wasn't allowed through for my own safety. Had to wait an hour before I could get home. Beer was always pretty good though, so that's a plus. Only one plus mind. Telford_Bloke - 14 May 2014 10:33 |
Reasonable pints of Ruddles County and Green King IPA also had Witchchaser on for Halloween. Reasonable atmosphere for a Saturday night crowd, good DJ and Karaoke....but the toilets were disgusting!! stevane - 2 Nov 2008 11:56 |
Imagine if Wetherspoons bought the WORST pub in your area. Which had some really dodgy regulars and staff that allowed the dodgy regulars to rule the roost. That's what happened with the Church Wickets. Wetherspoons wisely sold it on. It's reputation is now worse than ever. A pub to be avoided. At speed. Matt_exmo1 - 14 Dec 2007 00:22 |
