| The worst 'pub' I've ever visited. Rated accordingly. Long and dingy. First time to Letchworth to see a friend +we stopped in here on a weekend afternoon. One of our group was in a wheelchair +had no bathroom facilities. The landlady made us feel so very unwelcome +was hostile when we asked about accessibility needs. I agree with the recent comments- if you don't know the staff they essentially stare at you until you leave. Seemed to be an injoke between the landlady +her foul-mouthed female staff members (they were c wording every other sentence which is fine if that's your bag but there was a child in the pub) +they were clearly laughing at us. Cannot believe this place gets any business at all! Really felt uncomfortable. NB- the pub is filthy. Seen cleaner festival toilets. | The place is a dump it has really gone down hill the toilets have no disabled access they are dirty and often out of order they take ages to repair them. The food preparation is disgusting theres no hand washing by the staff and preparation and serving is done on the same surface. Their is no food hygiene certificates for any of the staff on display !!!! the storage of the food is by the fruit machine and bought from Morrison's down the road. | I pop into The Arena Tavern now and again as it is pretty consistant. It does not try to be anything other than a basic pub and there is certainly nothing fancy about it.
