It's had a bit of a"refurb" since the last visit - posh by Luton standards but still a bit of a rough house to the rest of the world. They have bands on. Ale was okay as opposed to good. Snarling_Mallard - 11 Jun 2018 10:12 |
I'm delighted to say that the Gents toilets aren't nearly as bad as the below comments make out. Anyway, the important stuff: Very nice and well-kept beer (I tried one of the Oakhams and then sessioned with Hobgoblin). Very friendly staff and a real open fire for instant cosiness. A fine alternative to the Bricklayers if you find yourself on the other side of the tracks. Humber - 2 Feb 2014 13:03 |
OK, not the cleanest pub I've even been into, and the gents have an appalling, penetrating and lasting smell, but the beer is great, the locals are friendly and the music eclectic. Home from home (except for the smell from the toilets!) melton69 - 3 Oct 2012 22:02 |
A rough house one roomed pub on the edge of the town centre. Has pool table and is a bit run down looking but did have four ales on. had a pint of Jennings Cock-a-Hoop which was nice enough. Not really somewhere I'd trek across town for though but if in the vicinity would drop in. anonymous - 7 Nov 2010 12:19 |
No awards for cleanliness here, recently it has become very dirty, the loos are the smelliest I have come across in years. A camra poster to hide behind works wonders. bonzoid0 - 1 Oct 2009 15:44 |
