We have been eating here maybe once every couple of months for over a year. Last week there was only half dozen items available on the menu due to no delivery. However, my biggest gripe is every single time we go, there are added items on our bill. I urge everyone to check their itemised bill as we normally find 2-3 drinks on there that we havnt had. Beware!!! twiggs - 29 Feb 2012 21:33 |
This used to be a Saturday regular for me and my mates but since the change in ownership it has really gone down hill. The beer choice is poor, the food is rubbish and the staff!!!! They are so unwelcoming its hard to stay in the place. I guess we will all have to wait for a change of ownership again... Tancred - 6 Feb 2012 09:18 |
We went there as a family twice at the end of last year. Both times the quality of the service was very poor. Food took ages to be served, drinks took ages to arrive. The food did not all come up at the same time to our table. Some of the meals were cold. We will not be going there again. sheelagh - 27 Jan 2012 17:57 |
used to be a fave of ours, however, the change seems to have brought in bland ales and i can not comment about the food, the atmosphear has changed, shame as it was a really really nice country pub. lets hope the management read this and make it more of a real ale pub again eh? x jerome_uk - 16 Jul 2011 01:49 |
We have used this pub quite often over the past few years and would have to agree about the decline in the quality of the food served. Whilst the location and general feel of the pub are good our last few visits have left us very unhappy. The lunch we had recently was the worst we have had for quite some time. The food was cold and also quite burnt. We didnt expect large portions as that practice of offering cheaper meals at lunchtime is common. However the quality of the meals was something we didnt expect to be so bad. We really hope that the chain can get to grips with this pub as it has great potential to get back to where it used to be. We will just have to see how it rates over the next few months before we venture back. brummieviking - 2 Sep 2010 09:35 |
