| First open pub on the Inn Way to North Yorkshire Moors. Most are closed on Monday Lunch times but the Royal Oak is open. York Guzzler and Black Sheep on offer. Both in good condition. | We too were confronted by the strange dog policy, as mentioned in the review below, we visited regardless. It's a pub serving good pubby food at a reasonable price, certainly more focussed on dining than drinkers. Most of the pub is given over to dining with only a small drinking area. Black Sheep on tap, I tried the 'Golden Sheep' only for it to be undrinkable, it was exchanged with the minimum of fuss. Overall: Decent pub food, not one for the drinkers. | This is the sister pub to pub in Fadmoor. They have an incredibly confusing policy on dogs in pub. You can bring them in if you book a table in the dining room but they are not allowed in the bar:bizarre to let them in a dining room (but only if you book) and not the bar.
