This used to be one of our favourite eating places, until it changed hands. Now it is not worth visiting. Very disappointing and a real letdown after the previous people had built up a wonderful atmosphere. sylfin - 16 Oct 2007 10:17 |
Real disappointment since the takeover of this pub early this year. Often frequented for the friendly 'oldy woldy lovely village atmophere, and very decent food' gone downhill greatly. what a shame. pubcriticschoice - 19 Jul 2007 15:50 |
i think this pub is stuck in a time warp, very oldy worldy and dining area very cramped. food was ok but not in a hurry to go back anonymous - 30 Mar 2007 14:46 |
Called in many a time on the way home from work...sometimes its open sometimes its not - don't really get the pattern and as theres no opening times published its kinda difficult to judge. Don't go out of your way unless your passing that way anyway. Its nice enough but the opening hours are a total mystery. anonymous - 16 Nov 2006 22:55 |
Very welcoming quaint village pub with pleasant staff. Usual selection of pub grub but look a little further at the superb a la carte menu and you're in for a treat. My steak was cooked to perfection and my partner's Seabass with curried potatoes and coconut & ginger sauce didn't just work, it exceeded all expectations. I was politely told the desserts were all homemade by the landlady herself, so couldn't resist a dabble at the Raspberry & Apple Crumble. I've since heard that the Miners is renowned for the best fruit crumble ever. I have to agree! anonymous - 15 Aug 2006 10:18 |
