First post for this place for nearly 8 years! We visited on a Sunday afternoon and the place was dead which is the way us oldies like it. Thought it was cheapish for drinks but was expecting it to be cheaper. Ordered a bbq chicken melt and it was only just passable knew it was gonna be a risk here though. This would be a great pub for a student going out with all their mates, but it just is not a good place to have a meal in. 5/10 montie49 - 2 Dec 2013 18:52 |
Purchasing a yellow card will entitle you to discounts, but I would avoid buying one, because on the rare occasion you really do want to do the 'cheap student' thing, you can always borrow your mates. The pub isn't good enough to merit buying a loyalty card anonymous - 8 Jan 2006 19:40 |
bad food, but good cheap drinks and friendly student staff- worth a visit mattclapham - 25 Oct 2005 20:43 |
Great pub, for about the first week of term before all the fit threshers discover there are better bars or go to destiny's (ick). very average all round Enrico_Gatty - 12 Aug 2005 14:25 |
This pub is right in the middle of a large group of student halls. In that respect it is a good place to meet a few people and get your social life going. Cheap drinks are also very handy for most first year students ! lennie384 - 20 Apr 2005 09:47 |
