| Absolutely agree. You cant visit this area without taking time out, especially on a summers day, to come here. This place must be experienced. It is tempting aft er a few beers, if still standing, to run down the hill, you will regret it tho...... | Back for a yearned-for visit last weekend. The biblical rainstorm we endured to get up the hill made the beer taste even better, if that is possible. Just a great place to spend an afternoon. All beer lovers should visit. The food's fantastic too. Albert_Campion - 29 Aug 2006 18:57 |
| I liven in Munich for a number of years and agree that Andechs was one of the best days out (we even had our works outing there!!). The beer is very, very good, particularly the dunkel doppelbock. Don't try and run down the hill back to the S-Bahn afterwards!!! smudger69 - 7 Apr 2006 13:54 |
| Probably the finest beer I have ever tasted (except for Taylor's Landlord). Indescribably... lovely. Get the S4s-Bahn from Munich to Herrsching, walk up along the lakeside and then up through the woods, and spend one of the best afternoon's drinking you'll ever have. Superb.
