| 8 miles into an 11 mile walk, it would be an understatement to say I was looking forward to a pint. Busy car park but oddly empty inside. Asked what ales were on and was offered two, with a bonus of old rosie scrumpy. Suspicions aroused, i went for a cumberland way. Not a massive fan of Robinsons but this was cloudy, rank fayre. | Was told the cat is now under new management,so called in to sample the food and drink,and the view.The view was amazing,the drink was typical robinsons:) and the food was reasonably priced and excelent,the girl who served us could not have been more pleasant.will defanatly return soon,and would recomend people to go back and see for themselves.A good pub getting better. kevjb90 - 2 Jun 2012 11:29 |
| A bit of a rough & ready feel to the bar part which would be okay if the beer didn't match that feel. The pint of Robbo's Dizzy Blonde was more a Peroxide Murky Blonde and I left half of it. I've been here a few times across the eons of time and have not yet had a decent pint in the place. | We read the review comments and almost decided not to go there, but our walk took us close so we thought we'd try it anyway. Must have been some changes as we were pleasantly greeted as soon as we walked in and served very quickly. The food menu was a tad expensive but the food we had was soon ready and brought to our table by a very happy smiling barmaid. It was very palatable too.
