| Such a well established and attractive pub but its gone through highs and lows. Right now may be on an improving trajectory. The food in the White Horse also seems to be getting better though its a fairly uninspiring carvery style. | The pubs exterior is very inviting, the inside is clean, warm and has a low ceiling with exposed beams - perfect for banging your head on ! The only real ales available were Fullers London Pride and Flowers Original - Good beers but it would have been nice to see some local breweries represented such as the one at Potton - though at least it wasn't a Greene King pub which seems to be taking this area over. A nice pub however, with an interesting history as a coaching inn many years ago when it used to sit on the old A1 route. Worth a stop if you're passing. SouthYorkshireman - 24 Jan 2009 20:04 |
