I stayed for the night at Snake Pass Inn and would highly recommed to other walker's. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was home cooked and delicious without a long wait and the location perfect for beautiful walks. The room was cosy and warm with a lovely big bath and comfortable bed, all in all myself and my partner really enjoyed the whole experience, thank-you. Lauren198230 - 10 May 2009 19:25 |
Good food and very friendly staff (don't sell Black Sheep though). Accommdation available for smokers and dog owners, which is nice to see. UncleMouldy - 1 Dec 2008 07:16 |
The only pub for literally miles around, the Snake primarily caters for diners; there are only a few tables inside at which you can drink without eating. When I called in recently, there were a couple of decent real ales on, and the service was reasonable. If you are walking to the pub, beware that it is currently closed all day Mondays, on Sunday evenings, and probably on Tuesdays as well. SheffieldMickey - 19 May 2008 21:00 |
We visited this pub on the Sunday of Easter Bank Holiday. The pub was not especially busy for a Bank Holiday but, we and everyone else daring to pick up a menu were told by the most miserable and rude barmaid that 'all meals would be at least 1 and a half hours and yes that includes sandwiches'. The pub itself is nice and in a beautiful location but we most certainly won't be going back anonymous - 9 Apr 2007 16:01 |
Not the same as a couple of years ago, changed hands i presume, food not as good and a smile wouldn,t go amiss. What a location though! celticman - 31 Oct 2006 12:48 |
