| This is by far the best place for a drink by the river, and a real favourite for alfresco dining in the summer .......there's also an Art Event on 9 & 10 May 2009 (Norfolk Open Studios). I just found out that it was from this garden John Crome painted �On The River Yare � A View of the King�s Head Gardens� in 1803. (on view in Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery). The riverside location is an idylic spot for art, food drink... and a bit of history - The Rivergarden dates back to 1678! cyp - 3 Mar 2009 14:30 |
| Visited this pub/restaurant a couple of years ago and it was very pleasant. A large selection of very nice food and the beer wasn't bad either. Sadly... I visited again recently and it must be under new management as suggested in other reviews. The menu is very limited. If you want basic burgers, pizzas and baguettes then this is the place for you. I am not a fan of Weatherspoons but if you want a better selection of passable food then pay them a visit. Its a real shame as this pub could be a great place. Its just stuck between being a restaurant and being a pub and doing neither particularly well. Hopefully the management will sort things out and make a move towards one or the other rather than trying to do both.
