The Greyhound is another Greene King pub. But unlike other GK pubs I visited in Bedfordshire on Saturday, it had a good selection of guest ales. The full selection was Greene King IPA, Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter, Tring Side Pocket For A Toad, Oakham Citra & Butcombe Chris Moose. Choosing beers was difficult as you had to peer between the local bar hoggers, who in turn seemed to think I wanted to fight. There is a large restaurant area that was being used by a number of kids as an adventure playground. The staff didn't seem to be much older. blue_scrumpy - 3 Dec 2019 20:30 |
Tied Greene King pub, so two of their offering available: IPA and Abbot. The former was £3.30 a pint and well kept. Pub obviously lends itself to dining as there seemed to be as much space in the conservatory for diners then in the two seating areas on either side of the central bar. Food smelled decent and I imagine there were some people taking advantage of the £6.95 OAPs' offering. duchyjim - 10 Dec 2015 14:44 |
Lovely little pub tucked away at the end of the village. Nicely kept Greene King Abbot and IPA and very good food. The crackling fire in the main bar area adds a nice touch. littledrummerboy - 19 Oct 2012 14:05 |
When I visited in February the food was amazing, very good quality, and the specials board had plenty of great choices on it too. Prices very good, lovely eating area in a conservatory type space, staff friendly. anonymous - 9 Sep 2005 22:29 |
this is a fine pub set in a small village of haynes in bedfordshire, food is excellent and plenty to choose from, prices aren't too bad and it has a lovely restaruant area and a fairly big beer garden. Ownership has just changed but hopefully it will remain as good as before Carl1982 - 1 Sep 2005 11:19 |
