| Further update - reopened in November after its brief closure for a refit ... what a transformation! Much modernised with wacky local-history features including a fantastic Bournemouth-based mural on the dining room wall and a blown-up historical Ordnance Survey map watching over everyone from the ceiling. Now open till 12 on Fridays and Saturdays. Brightened up throughout but still a brilliant pub with great food and a good vibe. And never so busy that you can't hear what anyone is saying. | Recently under new management .Ref previous comment it is now open until midnight Fri & Sat .New things are happening all the time ; worth checking out their Facebook page to check .Beer Garden is being smartened up with decking & there is talk end Oct they doing the actual pub !
