This pub is now a big pile of rubble. jjamjj - 23 Jan 2010 15:47 |
Big pub opposite the park on Seven Sisters Road. I have used this place a couple of times, and the staff behind the bar are welcoming and friendly. In particular, the South African lady who strikes up conversation with most people and livens the place up a bit. The Thai food here looks very good, and seems to be a reason why most people visit. I think the place does get busy, but not when I've been in. cider_murray - 14 Nov 2006 15:07 |
Seems a rather lonely pub, never very busy when I've visited, but it is well maintained with an amazing fireplace (decorative purposes only though). The old dear who does the bar is friendly and chatty, and the spitting image of Bunny McDougle from the TV show 'Sex & the City'. I got the feeling it would come alive later on, certainly not at 7-8pm. anonymous - 25 Oct 2006 17:14 |
What a cracking place The Thai food is really good they have bands on the weekends now and it seems to be getting better and better,I live a 5 min walk away and have only just found this place a real change for the better .Well done to the designer who chilled out and put in big sofas. darken - 13 Dec 2005 18:18 |
Very mediocre pub. Not too bad, but nothing really to recommend it either. Nice staff (though 5 minutes for two beers when there are no other customers is a bit much; also just dropping them on one end of the bar and not telling us they're there, when we're sitting by the bar, was also none too welcoming). Full of irritating little wideboy-wannabes. Group of 5 or 6 lads kept pushing around the very small bar, calling to each other, and opening all the doors on a really cold night; pretending to look for dealers/customers. Though, to be fair, pretty good thai food at a very reasonable price. Billy_and_Me - 14 Nov 2005 12:09 |
