I didnt realise places like this still exist, let alone in Huddersfield. Poncey pretend-upper-class, gentleman farmer-wannabes. Even the barmaids are Hooray-Henriettas. Dress in wellies and a tweed waistcoat or golfing Pringles youll look a tit but at least youll fit in. Talking of which if youre female just get them out, however inappropriate itll look for your age. Six handpulled beers yeah, well. The ubiquitous Black Sheep Bitter and Landlord, Tetley's (!), Green King IPA, and the day saved by two Brass Monkey ones which in fairness were in good nick. Make sure youre not thirsty as well locals served first, second and third. Pub decors getting a bit tired now. Dont try finding the phone number on the net its not on. No rating because it obviously suits some people. Richardhuddleston - 22 Nov 2010 22:38 |
the pub has finally got a brilliant couple running the place, friendly, funny and very welcoming, the bar snacks are all home made, tasty and reasonable priced, you must visit now! tyaswitch - 28 Jun 2010 14:53 |
Poor pint of Black Sheep today and is a bit pretentious oftenscore6 - 30 Mar 2008 22:43 |
Called in this lunchtime, nice pint of Black Sheep. Had a cheese sandwich cost best part of a fiver but it was worth it. branwell - 22 Apr 2007 02:26 |
