Bit of a dive really. Poker in the rear!! Music and TV in front bar. Adnams Broadside £3.20. Not one for a re visit. rpf1955 - 15 Jul 2013 17:19 |
Looks small from the outside but has a spacious back room. Nice pint of Adnams Broadside. Friendly bar staff. Very cosy couch in the front bar. Food looked/smelt good although I didn't sample any. BarStallBert - 8 Jun 2009 19:14 |
When I remeber this place, a dozen people filled it - talk about a 'freindly' boozer! andrewgwb - 13 Aug 2007 07:01 |
It's a Proper Pub. The only one we found near the centre of Cheltenham, though we may have been unlucky. The GBG pubs we tried were just barns selling beer. In this pub, customers actually talk to each other! In the previous ones we tried, they didn't even know each other. The previous two comments re 'like someone's front room' and 'homely atmosphere' are spot on. You can walk in, be made to feel at home, and have a decent pint of beer (Adnams Broadside is the regular plus a guest). Biggles - 10 Jul 2006 21:01 |
I live about 30 sec walk from this place, and I never really drank in there, but I on the one occasion I had a pint in here it was a very homely atmosphere and served a good ale. malabus - 23 Mar 2005 23:24 |
