It was nice to see a pub that does cask ale, and more than just the generic cask ales done in the Greene King Pubs round here, had a pint of Abingdon Bridge Ale, from their (from a small brewery in Abingdon) and they seem to always have six different cask ales on. One of their beers had gone sour however they where happy to replace it with a different cask ale without problem, a bit of a pain but its not exactly the first time I've encountered this with cask ales in pubs, and I can't really hold it against them given their large range. A good pub a bit run down but a friendly enough atmosphere, no blaring music always a plus, and a good place to read a newspaper with a pint.

Not a bad pub but a pub that could do alot better. The staff are average at best and getting served can be awkward when you have to try finding a bar lady to serve you. No food (Though not really the place to eat) All the usual drinks you would expect and a good selection of beer if thats what your into. Would probably go in again if I was meeting someone but would not make a point of going there.
