Now called 'The Drummond at Albury' - and still a lovely pub in a small historic village. With friendly service, excellent food and good beer, its hard to fault the place - although a bill of £90 for lunch (one course x 4 - with coffees and drinks) seemed a bit steep. Nice pond at the rear, with a variety of wildlife. Will return. sussexfox - 24 Jun 2014 11:29 |
I took 10 cyclists here for Sunday lunch today and it was a treat. We ended up being fortunate enough to choose a 'hog roast' day and it was absolutely delicious. We arrived at 10 ish to start our ride and the hog was already slowly turning over the oak fire (gave a beautiful smokey oak flavour to the meat), the very friendly manager (?) told us it had been on since 5 am. The service was very good indeed, the staff friendly and smiling and the décor and ambiance excellent. We will definitely be back. Book on a Sunday as it was packed. degodier - 3 Feb 2013 18:17 |
Still grim!! Can't find anything good to say about it other than it makes the other local pubs look vey good, apart from maybe the Grantley Arms which is on par. thisistrue - 6 Jan 2013 15:19 |

Maybe she has finally taken notice of some of the comments on here, she certainly needed to. I can also reiterate that there are several others that I know can't stand the place. Poor excuse for a pub. SOULESS!!! thisistrue - 6 Mar 2012 13:12 |
