We popped into the William Henry - as it now is - on a recent break to Weymouth. Both this Weatherspoon pub and the one down the road seemed to be constantly busy, and it is easy to understand why: I had a beautiful pint of Ringwood Old Thumper, which, at 2.05, was 90p cheaper than an inferior pint at a nearby pub. As it was Steak Night we had the mixed grill, excellent value at 9, including a starter (which they forgot at first, but nevermind). It is nicely decorated. The rainforest of leaflets outlining special offers can be a bit irritating, but all in all, excellent value and good quality. HornchurchJohn - 25 Jul 2010 21:05 |
A really good Wetherspoons - very comfortable and clean and (gasp) nicely decorated. Better than the old Hogs Head - apologies to any afficianados. chick - 22 Apr 2009 09:38 |
Now Open As "The William Henry", Was nice to see a new spoons opening up here but was sad that it meant the loss of hog's head.Had brekkie and a pint of great tasting ringwood which was spot on and so was the service, A good start anyway.......8/10 fat_beer_badger - 25 Aug 2008 16:06 |
