great pub lovely atmosphere shame that its being turned into an indian restaurant with no bar village wont use it so complete waste of time missx - 31 May 2012 15:15 |
Popped in for a quick pint still a bit rough around the edges but the new landlord has put a lot of work into this place and has made a real improvement still no food though but friendly welcome Slurpy - 17 Nov 2009 15:21 |
They don't come much rougher than this joint. Shame, as it doesn't look too bad from the outside. But you have to be pretty brave to walk in here, if you're not one of the usual drink-driving, banjo playing regulars. Definitely not one to take the family, unless you are related to the above mentioned in some way.... Nippah - 28 Apr 2008 22:03 |
One of the worst pubs that I have ever been in, although a lively atmosphere on match day. anonymous - 8 Oct 2007 12:27 |
Dickens lives! I think this is the place Charlie boy had in mind for a setting involving Bill Sykes, rough pub, rough crowd and awful quality beer - if you could call it that. The regulars all have tatoos too, even some of the men! :-) MisterX - 20 Jun 2006 22:53 |
