Found this site purely by chance browsing the web (as you do) and more specifically comments on this Pub! which I have just recently 'found' via a specials board outside - Curry for 2 and a bottle of wine for 10 - Very tasty madras and a decent Italian red; Suprised me So .. Excellent Value Excellent Food, albeit limited menu and Decent wines, at least all those I have had after several further visits. Try the Steak (Thursdays 2 and a bottle 15) comes with trimmings plus a rather refreshing Mint salad sort of combo! . scarboroughboy - 14 Oct 2010 13:18 |
Used to be a nice little corner pub with a good public bar and lounge. Now it has been defurbished (I do mean defurbished). The cosey lounge has been turned into a tatty games room and the public bar is dismal and empty. Dirty with beer splashes on the walls and the tables were sticky. Most important the beer (John Smiths) was in keeping with the rest of the pub catador - 17 Oct 2009 19:59 |
Good God....... this is full of Misfits/alchoholics/early release prisoners and social outcasts!!! The Karaoke is possibly the worst sounding ive ever heard in my life ( probably one of FRENCHIES) ....Used to be quite a good pub ,,,,, now its turning into a SH*THOLE!!!!! littleoldwinedrinkerme - 6 Jul 2009 00:34 |
Tetley Cask, almost as dull as John Smiths. Just about makes the average despite having 28 televsions, all tuned to different sports; one corner for the horses, one for the rugby league, another for footy. There were a few strange people, which helped me to fit in better! Archivist - 12 May 2009 18:21 |
