A restaurant for the well heeled rather than a pub but one is welcome to have just a drink if one wishes. Very nice gardens with lots of secluded places among the flower borders to enjoy a drink in the sunshine and it is worth a visit for that. Professional and efficient staff. Drinks at restaurant prices e.g. A small glass of rosé and a pint of Becks is £8.75. Not much choice of ale, nice, relaxed place though, for the discerning only. kentgoldings - 21 Jul 2013 08:03 |
As below. Geared towards the restaurant side of 'pub-restaurant'. Two ales on - Hook Norton 'Hooky' and Oxfordshire Ales 'Churchill HPA'. Opted for the latter. Watery, but palatable. Friendly barman, but layout not really conducive to drinkers. Two AA rosettes for food, so they're doing something right there. Komakino - 27 Jul 2012 14:36 |
Large, foody pub. Out of the way, but worth it for the good beer and decent winelist. Food very good indeed. Busy evenings and esp. weekends - so book! jonno_ - 8 Jun 2005 10:18 |
