you get what you want a pint and a smoke. spot on pub. unlike others in this pretentious town. true workin mans pub, no imigrants in here people. well worth a visit on friday afternoons. l.a35 - 24 May 2007 18:29 |
A "real" pub. Full of friendly characters, invariably well bladdered and a little rough around the edges. Great barstaff, especially Mandy, and the landlord, Ray, is brilliant, having run the place for 15+ years now. Not a Burberry cap in sight and the smallest selection of alchopops this side of Greenland, this is NOT a trendy place to go for a drink. Be warned, this pub is not for the feint-hearted...it is a working mans "boozer". Because of this, The Gratwicke Arms is our favourite pub in the area. Do yourself a favour, put your tatty jeans on, grab your darts and your jukebox money and have a real night out in one of the few remaining establishments that can rightly call themselves "a pub". hilter666 - 26 Jul 2006 22:33 |
