| Had an excellent and reasonably priced Sunday roast in this extremely welcoming and friendly pub. Reasonable choice of ales from the likes of Plain, Eight Arch & Flack Manor. Will definitely return for another meal. baxterfish - 9 May 2016 12:43 |
| A friendly quirky treasure of a pub. We have defected to here following nasty tarting up of nearby establishment. In the end the 'other lot' have done us a favour as this is more welcoming than they ever were. Have also eaten here and will again. I don't drink beer so probably shouldn't be contributing to this site, but the wine is nice, and the locals all seem to be enjoying their pints. quackers - 12 Apr 2013 00:04 |

| Yes Mcewans you are missing out. It was a private bar/restaurant 25 years ago but now its got good old local charm. You dont often see shove'hapenney these days but here even the local darts league know where they stand. Food is from good down to earth basic and can sometime be memorable, mums best gravy.
