This is now "Percy Vear''s Real Ale House" and had on offer John Smiths Cask, Saltaire Blonde, Saltaire Cascade, and one further pump was off. A small pub, clean and tidy, with a polite older gent serving who I assumed to be the gaffer. I went for the Cascade at the bargain price of £2.50 a pint, £1.25 a half. Not sure it''s one I would rush back to, but nice to have been in and tried it. RealAleRobUK - 8 Sep 2017 14:17 |
Classic - worthy of the wonderful "Rough Pub Guide" - which is a compliment. A small traditional pub with nothing except the best Tim Taylors beer I've tasted, and a really friendly owner (I assumed). Visit. mtaylor40 - 21 Feb 2009 18:40 |
Despite the refurb, the pub still has that 60's ambience. Taylor's beers are served through the air pressure system, but are of a good quality. I once went in here about six years ago, and the assembled group of 50 and 60 somethings were discussing the joys of...ahem...backdoor loving! fairport79 - 14 Feb 2007 23:34 |
Wouldn't serve us, first time went in. keithfernie - 4 Jul 2006 17:13 |
Just had an "pub-in-a-box" refurb. It used to be a symphony of formica and nicotine-stained artex, which I liked. Albert_Campion - 9 Mar 2006 17:27 |
