now called the Tavern but still bloody awful as the last poster said. For it's position in the town it should be a damn site better than it is. best avoided Boroontout - 21 Jul 2010 16:08 |
Bloody awful, ignorant staff who just chatted and served mates ignoring customers at bar. I can't comment on beer as I went elsewhere. Avoid Sandinista - 3 Feb 2010 17:41 |
Good pub. Used to be my local , many years ago. Run by the Affords. Where are they now? gerfome - 22 Dec 2005 19:56 |
The food is decent, if not good, the staff are friendly, if its hard to get served it usually means they are busy, its not the easiest job serving behind a bar, you cant remember every face which comes next. Perhaps the problem is people not being polite and pushing in? all in all a decent pub Mike - 8 Nov 2004 22:33 |
I have drank in this pub for more years than i care to remember and still like it. I got barred a few times over the years and all the staff know of me. The toilets have always been disgusting - drainage problem i guess and they never seem to get cleaned. The leather sofas need replacing too............ craig - 24 Aug 2004 15:00 |
