The George has had a sympathetic makeover after closing a few years ago. It acts as the brewery tap for Old Spot and serves a full range of their ales (6 available on visit). The food is the real highlight though with a fantastic menu and reasonable prices. bigprop99 - 28 Aug 2013 14:28 |
Went in late afternoon after bumping into Old Spot Brewer at The Guide, Hainworth just up the road. Apparently, the Old Spot Brewery now own this pub. They did have a wide range of their beers on draught. Decoration looks good and pub very welcoming. Inside of pub split into Restuarant room, lounge with tables made out of old beer barrels. Tried Old Spot - OSB, Light But Dark & Spot O'Bother. All in good order. Beer_Spotter - 26 Nov 2011 16:04 |
Seems to be the place to go for Old Spot Beers, it has them all and well looked after too. Place seems to have been done out and has a fair menu too. Not much in the way of a beer garden but worth stopping at for the ales and the grub. Friendly staff too. Bagsy - 28 Jul 2011 17:44 |
