This pub has re-opened, and sells well kept Courage Best from the pump. Received friendly welcome and decent beer, better than that on offer from pubs in Orpington High Street. Has pool table. Nearly did not not visit due to 'To Let' sign hanging outside, but glad that I did. supaken - 13 Feb 2013 14:24 |
This pub is now CLOSED ( May 2012 ) - looks like previous reviewers were right in their predictions. Good alternative is the White Swan nearby. buzby9 - 16 May 2012 20:56 |
I have to agree with givemeale on his/her comment. I do drink in there occasionaly, but only because I know most of the punters in there. The place is not the most welcoming & most of the locals give it a wide berth. There are better pubs i the area (though not many). The beer isn't up to much & the punters can be a bit offish with people they don't know. The reason for "regulars only" sign is to keep out the local undesirables. The pub also needs a makeover. I can't recall the last time it was done. anonymous - 8 Oct 2006 14:22 |
Any pub that has signs plastered all over the doors and windows stating "STRICTLY REGULARS ONLY" deserves to be closed down. The place is a hole.... rest assured nobody other than locals would want to step inside this toilet. givemeale - 12 Sep 2006 16:48 |
