| I stayed at the Schooner with my other half over the bank holiday at the beginning of this month. We weren't expecting it to be up to much, tbh - but it was absolutely fine. There is new management (in there since, I think, October 2009) and a good job is being done. The young lady running it is lovely. Our room was clean and kitted out with new furniture; the breakfast was a generous portion - cooked very nicely too; and the beer was cold and clean tasting. We were made to feel welcome, as well - which is possibly THE most important thing. Nothing wrong there atall these days - so give the place a chance!! Caff68 - 13 May 2010 09:26 |
| lovely pub. nice staff, nice ppl, full of friendly locals. it did have a reputaion in the past, but in 2006 changed owners and had a total refurb. it has the best pub grub, and a lively evening atmospher. would truly recomend it. xx princess_pints - 15 May 2008 16:44 |
