Thank the mighty Zarquon this place is dead. It was the kind of bar where you counted your fingers when leaving. If it had been used as a movie set for some gangsta film it would have been too OTT and unbelievable. Plastic scum central. Trouble is when places like this close down the cockroaches that inhabited it seek new homes. I think many of them have scuttled down the road to Hot Shots in Catford. Zaphod - 13 Nov 2007 14:40 |
And another one bites the dust! What a shocker of a pub this became when it changed from the Plough. Was last in hear way back in 2003 and even then it was the kind of place you would get stabbed as a "Friendly" greeting. I'm glad this hovel has now closed it's doors. But frankly, Lewisham is NEVER going to get decent pubs or attract decent punters. Hopefully it will be pulled down and erased from history. PigPen_in_the_Fens - 22 Apr 2007 17:42 |
Now boarded up. See my previous post. No surprise really, this was a terrible boozer. Searching_for_H_Files - 13 Mar 2007 15:45 |

I remember when the 1998 World Cup was on and Pitchers was a 'sports bars', particularly enjoying watching Brazil v Scotland with college friends. Now to say this is a sports bar is as ludricious as saying Chelsea's Frank Lampard had a brilliant 2006 World Cup for En ger land. Talk about going downhill. Don't even bother think about a Friday or Saturday night Searching_for_H_Files - 12 Jul 2006 11:27 |
