The barmaid was the friendliest girl in the world but they had no Guinness or Fosters and Carling so although it’s a nice pub it’s not one for me

Perhaps specialimport is the new management.

Refurbished and new management. Seems they can cook and keep good beer at the same time.

This is a very friendly pub - manager and staff. They do a well kept pint of London Pride and have some very nice wines (I had a Rose) and the chips are nice (the landlord gave us some on the house)! I can't comment on the rest of the food yet but I have it on good authority that its a good standard. The pub has just started having extra Open Mics on (the 2nd and last) and a "Jam and Feature" Night on (the first) Sunday of the month and the vibe is really great! They have lots of live music here with a weekly Thursday Open Mic too, a karaoke night and bands on Saturday nights.

Nice boozer with very friendly staff. Locals all were laid back. The pub is in a nice location at the end / start of the canal.

However DO NOT EAT HERE - especially the chicken burger, unless you want it to come with a side of stomach cramps. I was clutching my sides by the last mouthful! Friends had the beef burger, and complained it was made of cardboard.

By all means drink here as it is a pleasant pub, but if you are peckish, wander further down the road for a bite to eat.
