The barmaid was the friendliest girl in the world but they had no Guinness or Fosters and Carling so although it’s a nice pub it’s not one for me wooser - 23 May 2022 21:04 |
Perhaps specialimport is the new management. colmc - 30 Oct 2016 20:10 |
Refurbished and new management. Seems they can cook and keep good beer at the same time. specialimport - 30 Oct 2016 17:14 |
This is a very friendly pub - manager and staff. They do a well kept pint of London Pride and have some very nice wines (I had a Rose) and the chips are nice (the landlord gave us some on the house)! I can't comment on the rest of the food yet but I have it on good authority that its a good standard. The pub has just started having extra Open Mics on (the 2nd and last) and a "Jam and Feature" Night on (the first) Sunday of the month and the vibe is really great! They have lots of live music here with a weekly Thursday Open Mic too, a karaoke night and bands on Saturday nights. elaineturner - 1 Sep 2014 14:11 |
Nice boozer with very friendly staff. Locals all were laid back. The pub is in a nice location at the end / start of the canal. However DO NOT EAT HERE - especially the chicken burger, unless you want it to come with a side of stomach cramps. I was clutching my sides by the last mouthful! Friends had the beef burger, and complained it was made of cardboard. By all means drink here as it is a pleasant pub, but if you are peckish, wander further down the road for a bite to eat. fivelines - 16 Jun 2013 11:07 |
