Can I point out to the other reviewers that this is NOT the Brown Cow at Burrs Country Park. That is on Woodhill Road. This is the Brown Cow on Rochdale Old Road. Tysonthebeerhound - 28 May 2010 11:14 |
Not a lot changed since last visit, except it was nearly empty. Time of year I suppose. Thought the ales could have been better, but they were micros and not mainstream beers. Landlord very friendly and they take a pride in the food at this one. gillhalfpint - 24 Jan 2010 10:18 |
Called in a few times while staying at the Caravan site in Burrs Park, and the food was good but the beer was not always in good condition. They did change regularly so had a good turnover of ales. Noisy when a football match on TV. Interesting layout, and lovely child friendly garden. gillhalfpint - 4 Jun 2008 23:11 |
Based in Burrs Country Park and next to an Outward Bound / Campsite, this Real Ale Pub offers affordable food with views of Steam Trains as they whistle by on the East Lancs Line. Definitely worth a visit. trapperjohn - 28 May 2008 13:14 |
