| Think the bad comments for this pub need to be cleared up so.. I work in the pubs kitchen and I know exactly what goes into the food, no processed meat. As for the 'buckets of slop' those are actually potatoes being carried down into cellar. As for the bad comments about the landlord and landlady, you can only get an idea about them if you actually speak to them and FYI, they are actually very nice and great hosts. Also about it being a doctors waiting room, the crown is one of the only pubs in horwich were it does not kick of, making it a nice pub to be. Go to any other pubs in horwich and I guarantee somebody will cause trouble. Just because all you complainers have been in the crown once, doesnt give you the right to complain.
