I was looking forward to trying the Black Bull on a Boxing Day visit to Blackburn. But whilst the lights were on inside, the curtains were drawn and the outside lights were off. The car park was also locked. Nothing on the website to suggest it would be closed. So ours was a wasted visit and it's tucked away in the countryside between Blackburn and Darwen. 1/10 for a pub where you can't get a beerintheevening. Maybe I'll be able to get back here one day. blue_scrumpy - 27 Dec 2018 22:17 |
This is the home of the Three Bees Brewery, offering a full range of ales including traditional brown, blonde, porter and mild. When I visit my parents it becomes my second home. Always a great atmosphere and a credit to Rob the owner/brewer and his wife Wendy who together have provided this part of Blackburn with a real gem of a local pub. I wish I could transport it to where I live in London Greenspleen - 17 Oct 2015 16:20 |
