| Visited in February 2012 after hearing The Butlers Arms was under new management. What a great decision to give it another chance after visiting under the previous management! The welcome by the staff was fantastic, the service was perfect, the food and drink selection was great. This is a lovely pub/restaurant and it's nice to see it being run so well again. Our food arrived within a very reasonable time of ordering, we were served complimentary warm bread with oil and vinegar while we were waiting, which was a lovely gesture and we were very impressed with the freshly cooked, homemade food. | my friends and I regularly visit this pub which involves a 300 mile round trip for me, and I cant believe the postings from some of the people on this site, in my opinion they seem to have an agenda which I am not privy to, but whilst not wanting to judge them too harshly it appears they have little in their lives that is positive and they seem to take pleasure in being negative and sniping at others. this is just the way some people are but the decent among us should not let these ill-educated, sad buffoons ruin the reputation of this warm and friendly pub. all the best to Richard & the staff, see you soon. toonroversmember - 20 Nov 2010 00:40 |
